Heather Gibson

Heather Gibson, MSPH, is the Director of Performance Measurement for the Pharmacy Quality Alliance (PQA), providing expertise in several phases of the measure development process including specification, analysis, and consensus-based endorsement. Alongside the Performance Measurement Team, she works to ensure that PQA measures are scientifically robust, evidence-driven, and high-impact.

Prior to joining the PQA team, Gibson worked as Project Manager, Measure Testing and Analytics at the PCPI, where she served as the overall technical lead for projects related to quality measure testing as well as NQF measure defense, with a focus on physician-level measures. Gibson also previously worked at HSAG as a Health Services Researcher, where she supported federal claims-based plan-level quality measure development projects in the domain of patient safety. Her work at HSAG also included the development and testing of a quality measure index tool for use in assessing measure quality.

Gibson has a Bachelor’s of Science in Public Health, as well as a Master’s of Science in Public Health – Epidemiology, both from the College of Public Health at the University of South Florida.

 A first-generation college graduate, Gibson lives in Wesley Chapel, Florida. In her spare time Gibson likes to relax at home with her husband Darrin, daughter Devyn, and their German Shepherd Gunner. A retired college runner, Gibson now enjoys competitive powerlifting.
