He previously served as Director and Vice President of Pharmacy Professional Practice and Clinical Operations, and then Senior Vice President of CenterWell Pharmacy (formerly Humana Pharmacy), where he was the Executive owner of Humana's Pharmacy Clinical Model and Innovation Strategies and responsible for the practice of pharmacy, clinical operations, clinical pharmacy systems and tools, regulatory/compliance, privacy programs, and member experience strategies for all Humana Pharmacy assets – traditional mail, specialty mail, and retail. He led a multi-state organization with 7 directors, 15 managers, 30 supervisors and approximately 650 associates, generating $350M+ in yearly pharmacy and medical cost savings and Stars bonus payments by creating and deploying 12+ pharmacy programs. During this time, he was awarded JD Power first place ranking for member satisfaction of all national mail order pharmacies (2015 and 2018) because of improvements deployed to increase Transactional Net Promoter Score (NPSt), improve first call resolution, reduce unnecessary transfers, and optimize digital capabilities. He is considered an industry thought leader in the Pharmacy Clinical Program space with his participation in multiple national advisory boards and he champions the role of the pharmacist through disruptive innovation methodologies. Outside of Humana, Michael enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, driving fast cars, collecting rare bourbons, and is an avid University of Arizona basketball fan. |
